Firstly, we would like to thank you for showing interest in supporting our cause.

Today in Gujarat and across India many people who are visually & physically impaired are not receiving the services by which they can be healthy and independent. Together we can raise awareness.

Today the challenge of preparing students to become independent is much more complex than ever. Together we can support the changing needs of our Blind & Physically challenged students. Together we can take the next step in building a brighter future for these children.

Today many members of the growing population of seniors in the country are losing their eyesight. Also, thanks to medical advances, more & more premature babies are surviving but most of them face serious problems with vision and hearing. As the need for our services increases, NAB Valsad family will have to work even harder for the betterment of our handicap brothers & sisters.

Our team at Valsad NAB takes community service very seriously and believes that a little bit from everyone can go a long way.

This belief has resulted in building 2 Hostels (one for girls and one for boys accommodation) at a cost of over Rs. 100 lakhs (INR) benefiting over 200 handicap children in and around. Valsad area. ASHA for Education U.S.A donated Rs. 12 Lakhs for the Technical up gradation of our center. We established Computer Lab, Audio Lab Braille Library from the donations that we received from ASHA for Education U.S.A. Their donation also helped up build a separate hostel for girls. The donations that we received from our various other donors has helped us in starting free vocational training center where we teach our blind students how to make office files, folders, chair caning, telephone operation etc. which helps them to become self reliant. The donations that we receive from our kind hearted donors also help us in serving free meals 3 times a day, 365 days a year, to our handicap students to whom we also provide free accommodation, stationery and other items.

None of this would be possible if we didn’t have the support of people like you. Few ways in which you can help us are:

  • Take part in our Rally! All proceeds go towards our charity projects!
  • Sponsor for the education, accommodation & food of a Visually Impaired child for one year for just Rs. 20,000 /-.
  • Sponsor for the daily meals / food for a Visually Impaired child for one year for just Rs. 10,000 /-.
  • Sponsor for 1 day’s either Lunch / Dinner / Breakfast for our students. (Between Rs. 1800 to Rs. 7500 depending upon the items that will be served.)
  • Special day Lunch / Dinner sponsoring for our students once a year; for 10 yrs for Rs. 25,000. (viz. Special days like Wedding day, Birthday etc.)
  • Donations : We are a charitable trust and eligible for 80G deductions. Your valuable donations can be sent to:

Monthly Requirements/Consumption of our Center by our 200-220 Blind students:

  • Wheat – 1000 kg.
  • Rice – 750 kg.
  • Lentils, dal, gram, chickpeas or other legumes etc. – 375 kilograms.
  • Vegetable Oil – 150 litres
  • Sugar – 125 kilograms
  • Expenses for 1 student a year – Rs. 25,000
  • Cost of food for 1 time for 220 students – Between Rs. 1,800-7,500 (INR) depending upon the items served
    Additional expenses includes Maintenance cost, Medical expenses, Electricity bills etc.

Without getting donation from individuals/companies like you, all this wouldn’t have been possible. Donation helps us sustain our organization and benefit the community which we serve.

We have also received approval from the government to start English school in Valsad mainly for the kids that belong to the families living Below the Poverty Line. However, to start a school we do not have adequate funds with us at this point of time. We will need funds from a couple of individuals/companies like you to start this project. We are counting on your support. Your donation will be recognized in our program book throughout the year.

We are also trying to get grants regularly from the Government for the smooth functioning of our institute. Currently we are taking care of all the expenses from the donations that we receive from our various kind hearted donors. We don’t take any fees from any of the students who stay / study here. NAB Valsad provides all basic necessities to the students studying and living here.
